Our guest speaker will be Christine Patterson, a longtime volunteer at Norfolk CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization dedicated to advocating for children involved in the court system due to abuse or neglect.

About our Presenter:

This Month’s Speaker: Norfolk CASA

Join us this month as we welcome a guest speaker from Norfolk CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization dedicated to advocating for children involved in the court system due to abuse or neglect.

Our speaker, longtime CASA volunteer Christine Patterson, will share her firsthand experience serving as a court-appointed advocate in Norfolk. CASA volunteers are specially trained to work alongside judges, attorneys, and social workers to ensure that each child’s best interests are represented and that they have a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.

Christine will also speak about the critical need for volunteers in our community. CASA volunteers play a unique and powerful role by building consistent, supportive relationships with children during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
