We’re excited to share that for the first time ever, Lafayette-Winona will be participating in Porchella, Norfolk’s beloved neighborhood music event!
Porchella is a free, community-powered evening of live music that takes place across neighborhoods throughout the city — and this year, Lafayette-Winona is joining in the fun.
What Is Porchella?
Porchella is a free neighborhood jam happening on

⏰ 6:00–9:00 PM
📍 Across multiple Norfolk neighborhoods
Local musicians perform 30-minute sets on front porches, and neighbors walk from porch to porch enjoying live music of all kinds. Think of it as reverse caroling — instead of singers coming to you, you go to them 🙂.
This year, Porchella is expanding beyond its original neighborhoods to spread the joy citywide, including places like Colonial Place, Riverview, Ghent, West Ghent, Ocean View — and now Lafayette-Winona.
What to Expect in Lafayette-Winona
Porchella organizers are still finalizing and updating the official map. Once our neighborhood is fully added, we’ll share updates so you know exactly where to go and which musicians are performing nearby.
