DESCRIPTION:Join us for the June meeting of the Lafayette-Winona Civic League on Tuesday\, June 16\, at 7:00 PM at Church of the Epiphany (doors open at 6:30 PM). \nThis month\, we are pleased to welcome Norfolk City Council member and longtime community advocate Mamie Johnson\, who will lead a community discussion on issues affecting our neighborhoods and provide updates on matters of interest to Lafayette-Winona residents. Neighborhood Development Specialist Jamie Goldin will also be in attendance to answer questions\, share information about city resources\, and assist with neighborhood concerns. \nWe will also recognize the transition of Civic League leadership as the newly elected 2026–2027 Board is formally sworn in during the meeting. \nAs always\, residents are encouraged to attend\, stay informed\, and participate in Good for the Order\, where community members can raise questions\, share concerns\, and discuss neighborhood issues. Councilwoman Johnson represents Ward 3 and has been a strong advocate for Norfolk neighborhoods\, community engagement\, public safety\, and economic development. Throughout her service to the city\, she has worked closely with residents and civic organizations to address issues affecting the quality of life and neighborhood growth. \nCouncilwoman Johnson will provide updates on current city initiatives\, discuss issues impacting our community\, and answer questions from residents. This is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from your elected representative and learn more about what's happening in Norfolk.
